pearl hydrating cream key ingredients

pearl powder

ayurvedic heritage

For over 4,000 years, Pearl has been treasured and used by the ancient Ayurvedic practitioners of India. Traditionally, Pearl powder was used topically in face masks and also internally to nourish and enrich the skin, promote calmness, increase longevity and even intelligence.

skincare benefits

Pearl Powder contains over 30 trace minerals, including magnesium and potassium, which help maintain skin’s health. With high levels of calcium, Pearl Powder promotes skin regeneration and moisture and helps to regulate sebum and cell turnover. The amino acids found in Pearl Powder stimulate skin cells to produce collagen, promote cellular repair and hydration, and protect skin from pollution and outside elements. Pearl Powder has been said to reduce activation of tyrosinase, which is an enzyme that causes the production of melanin, making skin appear more luminous.

sandalwood

Ayurvedic Heritage

Sandalwood oil is distilled from the heart wood and roots of Santalum album, or the East Indian sandalwood tree. This is one of the most valuable trees in the world and greatly esteemed in the Vedic books for its sacredness. Chandana or Indra’s Sandalwood tree is named after Lord Indra as it spreads the fragrance to the whole of paradise. Sandalwood heals the three doshas of the body - treats Vata, pacifies and balances Pitta and Kapha. Sandalwood oil has been beneficial in promoting the reproductive system, nervous system, muscular system and circulatory system health.

Skincare Benefits

Sandalwood oil helps nourish the skin, improve the elasticity of skin cells, even out skin tone and can be beneficial in reducing the appearance of scars. From an Ayurvedic perspective, Sandalwood has a calming and cooling effect on the skin and has been highly valued for its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiviral and antiseptic properties.

I treat myself with love in all that I do.
